We're now on our cruise ship, the Carnival Valor and sailing somewhere in the Carribbean. We left St. John's 5:00 am yesterday morning, stopped in Toronto for a couple hours, arrived in Miami 1:00 pm and stayed the night at the Hilton Downtown, where we had a beautiful view of the city. While in town we did some sightseeing and checked out Bayside, a popular outdoor mall in downtown Miami. Today we were most of the afternoon at the Port of Miami waiting in line to check in and board the ship. Once aboard, we had supper and took in a show in the theatre. Tomorrow we stop in Nassau Bahamas, where we will take a tour of Atlantis resort and a boat tour of the area. We will add pictures to the Photo Album as soon as we get a chance.
It's been almost a week since the wedding but I finally added some wedding pictures to our Photo Album. As you will see in the side menu, it is broken up into three pages. The Wedding Day pictures covers everything from the guys decorating cars that morning, to getting ready at my house, the church ceremony at Bethesda, picture taking in Bowring Park, Cape Spear and the reception at Ramada. The Wedding Rehearsal is pictures from the night before the wedding when the bridal party had a BBQ at my house and rehearsal at the church. Tara and Troy are older pictures of Tara and I since we met. Special thanks to Sheila Smith for most of the photos from the Wedding. She took over 1000 photos that day! It was a big help to have someone clicking away all day. We will post the professional photos from Shane Kelly when we get them in a few weeks.

Wedding Slideshow
Hi Everyone from the newlyweds! We would like to thank you all for coming to the wedding and for all your generous gifts! You made the day extra special for us by being there. It was such a perfect day and by far the best day of our lives. We were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. The honeymoon is going great so far. We stayed at the Ramada the first night, then at Winterholme B&B the next. We spent Monday moving Troy into our apartment and are enjoying settling in and relaxing. Thank you to Cory & Sheila for helping us move everything. We are off on our cruise in 4 more days. We're really looking forward to it! Stay tuned for pictures and updates :)
This will be the last blog post before the wedding. Last night we had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. First, the bridal party and parents gathered at my house for a BBQ. Tara and I gave thank you gifts to everyone, including shirts withe everyones wedding role on the front. From there, we moved on to the church and spent a couple hours rehearsing the ceremony. Everything went well and things are falling into place nicely. See you at the wedding!
It sure has been a busy week! On Monday, Tara brought the cake decorations and final payment to our cake maker so she could make our cake, I picked up some gifts for the groomsmen and we both met with our decorator Margaret Butler to go over details for the reception. On Tuesday, Tara brought in her dress and veil to the Model Shop for steaming, I dropped off some files to Wade Atlantic for printing and we both went to the doctor to get our shots our our trip next week. We took it easy the rest of the night and went to the Avril Lavigne concert at Mile One Centre. Great show! Today, we met with our photographer Shane Kelly, picked up the remaining print items at Wade Atlantic and met with Amy Tulk at the Ramada to sign the contract for the reception. We had supper at Swis Chalet with Tara's family, who arrived Monday night. I expect to see alot more people to start showing up tomorrow.

Jack and Jill Party
Instead of having separate bachelor and bachelorette parties, we decided to combine them into one and have a Jack and Jill party. We had it last Saturday night in the Red Room at Dooly's on Water Street and sent out an an invitation on Facebook. For the special occassion, Tara and I had matching bride and groom shirts. Thanks to Nadine for booking the room and rounding up some more bodies.
